Fairphone - Good or Bad?

We have talked about many different types of product on Be Conscious, however we have not yet talked about a mobile phone company, and there are various reasons for that. As you know by now, technology is one of the worst polluters as it generates a massive amount of waste, uses many non-renewable resources and incentivises people to buy more and to dispose of good objects more quickly as they want to buy the latest product. On the other hand, it would be silly to ignore the fact that we need technology and, in this case, phones to be able to live our modern lives.
