This week we are bringing you a 'remediation' brand. "What is that?", you might be asking yourself. In my view, that is a brand that is helping us fix things. This is a great type of brand, and we need more like these.
Knitpatch is a brand that is trying to make fixing holes and the art of mending our own clothes mainstream, and they seem to be doing a great job. They have created a kit that makes mending your clothes easy and an art in itself.
This have developed a patch maker, which is a little kit that enables you to path your clothes and then they have also created other accessories for you to make the most of the products and to take your mending to the next level.
Another great point to add, and probably the biggest pro of Knitpatch is that they are reducing the amount of clothes we big and also creating a way of us giving a second life for our clothes. This is great as we are reducing waste and most likely reducing the amount of new clothes we buy, or so we hope.
Let's do our list of Pros and Cons:
PROS:
Reducing the amount of clothes we buy
Trying to make mending mainstream
Somewhat affordable (if it lasts long)
Great patterns
Cons
Certain materials should be more sustainable, like the tool box
Concluding, it is a great brand and we hope they evolve into a more sustainable brand and create more things to fix things.
